Plovdiv is served by two international airports:

BY ROAD
Plovdiv can be reached by taking highway A1/E80 from Sofia, a distance of about 140 km or approximately 90 minutes driving time.
It also lies on the European Transport Corridors:
- No IV: Dresden – Prague – Bratislava – Győr – Budapest – Arad – Craiova – Sofia – Plovdiv – Istanbul, with a diversion connecting Sofia – Kulata – Thessaloniki.
- No VIII: Durrës – Tirana – Kaftan/Kafasan – Skopje – Deve Bair –Gyueshevo – Sofia – Plovdiv – Burgas – (Varna).
BY TRAIN‑BUS
- By Train: Plovdiv can be reached by train from Sofia in about 3 hours.
- By Bus: There is regular bus service from Sofia Central Bus Stationto Plovdiv, taking approximately 2.5 hours.
